   Program Mission: To expose college-bound
          science students to UC San Diego
          expertise and environment - especially
          university students, faculty and
          resources in medicine, medical research,
          biosciences, bioengineering and health
          sciences.

         There are high school and community college students throughout the San Diego area who have never had a chance to visit the University of California, San Diego to explore what a college environment has to offer. A component of UC San Diego’s Healing the Community initiative, the Ambassadors of Academic Achievement (A³) Program at UC San Diego offers high school juniors and seniors as well as community college transfer students the opportunity to be paired with UC San Diego undergraduate or medical school mentors to discover what a day in the life of a UC San Diego student is really like!
